A new prize judged by some of New Zealand’s top music critics is set to honour up-and-coming Kiwi musicians and provide some tangible support to help nurture promising talent.

Finalists Showcases announced for Wellington and Christchurch.

Nominations for the 45th annual RIANZ Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards are set to open – and for the first time a Tui is being awarded for the best Pop album.

March 2010 sees the commencement of a new and very special award on the New Zealand music landscape, which will be known as The Taite Music Prize. Named after the late Dylan Taite.

Sixties classic ‘She’s a Mod’ by Ray Columbus and The Invaders has been given a reworking by The Mint Chicks.
