Dane, J and Young Sid hit the road

Three of the country’s hottest recording artists – collectively finalists for nine Tuis in the upcoming Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards – have been named as the stars taking a little bit of the awards to Wellington and Christchurch.

Dane Rumble, J. Williams and Young Sid take the stage at the Wellington Town Hall on September 16 and Christchurch’s James Hay Theatre the following night as part of the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards Finalists Showcase gigs.

Two special one-off concerts have been created to celebrate the best of New Zealand Music and bring a little bit of the magic of the annual event to a wider audience of music lovers.

Music awards spokesman Campbell Smith says: “This is a great line-up of artists at the top of their live performance game. The guys have really honed their art in a touring environment and they certainly know how to entertain a crowd. We are delighted that they will be the first three artists to take part in the first year of these Music Awards finalist showcases in Wellington and Christchurch. And at $25 a ticket – it's a steal.”

Dane Rumble has been named as a finalist in six categories, J. Williams in two, and Young Sid in one.
